FRUIT COCKTAIL
To one quart of melon halls (your
choice), add one can No. 2 size)
of pineapple chunks. Make, a gin
ger sauce of 1 cup of sugar, Vt
cup while corn syrup, hi cup
drained pineapple syrup and 2 ta
blespoons' of grated green ginger
(or use chopped candied ginger).
Cook sauce about 6 minutes. Cool
and add 2 tablespoons lime or lem
on juice. Marinate the fruit in
the ginger sauce. Serve in sherbert
glasses, or, if preferred, in halves
of very small canlalope with a
garnish of mint. Serves 6 to 8 persons.

mashed potatoes to combine with a
four-ounce package of shredded
dried codfish for codfish balls.

age directions before using.
