A Grade "A'VFamily on a Grade "A" Dairy!!

local creameries. Curly has been in the dairy business for 22 years

THE JOHN TOFELL FAMILY
First item on the table come dinner time at the John Tofell farm
near Dairy is MILK! Above, the entire family smiles for the
photographer as Mrs. Tofell finishes her round of filling the milk
glasses. John says that the 9-member family drinks "a little over
3 gallons per day." Left to right: Karen, 10; Katharine, 14; Laddie,
16; Eddie, 17; Mrs. and Mr. Tofell; Bobbie, 18; Neil, 13 and
Bennie, 6.
John Tofell has been milking cows "since I was knee high to a
grasshopper." The Tofell dairy totals 160 acres with a milking
herd of 30 head of prize Holsteins. John says that the dairy is
actually a partnership, as the boys do a great share of the 'work.
He is agent for Farm Bureau Insurance and a member of the Elks.
