Kim Novak was under orders of
Columbia Movie Studio moguls to
day not to talk to anyone about
her relationship with Lt. Gen.
Rafael Trujillo Jr., free-spending
Dominican KepuMic playboy.
The reason: The studio wants
to preserve the dignity of the
shapely actress.
Columbia "gagged" Kim after
her surprise trip to the station
Tuesday night to see dashing,
mustachioed Trujillo. 29. off on
his return trip to Ft. Leavenworth,
Kans.
The actress returned to her
Bel-air mansion after Trujillo left
for an Intimate supper with long
time boyfriend Mac Krim.
Their candlelight and wine rcn
aezvous raised eyebrows among
Iriends as to the depths of her
affection for the young general
who gave her an expensive auto
mobile. But Kim won't talk about
it because of the Columbia law
"Don't speak to anyone."
Thus, the violet-eyed beauty has
holed up in her mountaintop

She leaves the roomy house only

and accompanied by a servant.
Her gift Mercedes-Benz is hidden
under canvas in her garage, leav

back for conferences with her

tiousness. His only prop is today s
newspaper. His only writer is
curled in a lobe of Sahl's brain.

has been "suppressed" by tele
vision, however.
"There's a whole liberal group
who thinks timiHilv ic hnuwl
suppression. I've never found any
suppression in television, only
apathy."
