vitation to sing in the annual quar
tet and chorus show to be pre
sented in the Pelican Theater on
May 17 by the Society for the
Preservation and Encouragement
of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in
America.

lines, reports enthusiasm over the
invitation and rehearsals of sev
eral numbers by the all-girl chor

Have you seen this man? If you

He is George Edward Cole. 31,
who is wanted in California for the
murder of a police officer and for
violation of the unlawful flight to
avoid prosecution statute.
Cole is six feet one and weighs
160 to 178 pounds. He has a medi
um build, brown hair, brown eyes
and a medium complexion.
He may work as a bus or truck
driver or a typist and has a pit
scar on the outside corner of his
right eye, small cut scar on the
inside of his left wrist, is tattooed
with a small heart and names
"Mom" and "Dad" and the let
ters "GP" or "SP" on left fore
arm. He also has a tattoo of an
eight-point star on the back of his
left hand.
Cole has previously been con
victed of grand larceny and rob
bery and has been quoted as say
ing that he will shoot any police
officer attempting to apprehend
him.
He is armed and considered dan
