BASIN BRIEFS
Robin Hunt son of Mr. and
Mrs. Tom Hunt of McCloud, has
been visiting his parents before
going to Fort Bliss, Texas, for six
months' training course in guided
missiles. He was commissioned a
second lieutenant upon graduation
from the University of California
at Berkeley.
Jerry Caswell son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Caswell of Mc
Cloud, has been on leave from
the Navy visiting his parents and
will visit friends at Washington,
D.C. before reporting at Norfolk,
Virginia, for new orders.
Annual Bazaar St. Augustine's
Church in Merrill will hold its
annual bazaar and smorgasbord
on Saturday evening, November
9, at the parish hall. Dinner will
be served from 6 until 8 p.m.
A variety of booths, games and
entertainment will be provided for
adults and children during the eve
ning. Smorgasbord tickets may be
purchased at the door.

Clinic, a baby girl weighing 7 lbs.,

Set By Church
An old-fashioned bazaar, snack
bar and Italian spaghetti dinner
is planned for Saturday, Novem
ber 9, by Peace Memorial Church.
The event will begin at 10 a.m.
with the opening of fancy work,
food booths and the snack bar.
Dinner serving will be from 5:30
to 8 p.m. Family tickets will be
available for $3 or individual tick
ets, 75 cents for adults and 50
cents for children.

also visit relatives in Klamath
Falls. Don is on a 30-day leave
from his Air Force base.
Sob Bora Word has been re
ceived in Lakeview of the birth
of a son. on Thursday, October
31, 16 Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Strong at Corvallis. Mrs. Strong is
the former Barbara Sullaway,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Sullaway of Lakeview. The other
set of grandparents is Mr. and
Mrs. Don Strong, former Lake
viewites, now located at Stotts
dale, Arizona. The baby weighed
7 lbs., 5 ozs. and has been named
Kenneth Dale. The father is at
tending school at Oregon State
College.
Correction It was erroneously
reported that Mrs. Minnie Mive
laz of Malin broke her hip in
a home accident recently. She in
jured her shoulder and is now re
ceiving treatment at the Klamath
Valley Hospital.

tivities at Oregon State College
last weekend were Malinites, Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Mock. Mr. and
Mrs. Ivan Petrasek, and the Earl
Wilson's. The MMock's daughter,
Shirley, is now a pledge of Alpha
Delta Pi sorority.
Malin Labor Camp closed its
facilities Tuesday, November 5.
The labor camp school ceased func
tioning Friday, November 1.
Baby Daughter was born to
Mr. and Mrs. George E. Hayes,
Merrill, on October 31 at the Ma
lin Medical Clinic. She weighed
8 lbs. 5 ozs. and has been named
Rosemary Lynn.
