resident of Malin and former city
recorder and rancher is reported
to be critically ill in the Good
Samaritan Hospital, Portland. With
Mrs. Hamilton, he moved to Cor
vallis some time ago.
Rummage Sale The Butte Val
ley Federated Club will sponsor a
rummage sale November 1 and 2
at Arts and Clyde's. "34 Klamath
Avenue. The November 1 sale will
be between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m., and
the Saturday sale will be from

go for nurses scholarships and
youth work.

TOLEDO, Ohio (UP)- A man,
who identified himself as a "work
er tired of working in the rain,"
called police Saturday to report a
bomb in the garbage can of City
Manager Russell W. Rink. An in
vestigation failed to turn up any
thing except 17 garbage cans on
the city manager's front lawn.
Kink is in a dispute with trash
collectors over forcing them to
work when it rains.

His mother reports he is getting
along nicely.
