Fire highlighted the meeting of
the central district of Camp
Fire leaders held recently by the
Klamath County Library.
Joan Aschepbaeh, who presented
the display, also demonstrated and
explained how to make the items
shown. A very informative pres
entation of the birthday project
"Meet The People" was made by
Alice Galloway.

presided over the business meet
ing in the absence of President

held in the armory later this

tea table, and retreshments were
served by Mildred Clark and Vir
ginia Livesay.
Arts, Crafts
Project Slated
Charge for the eighth annual
leadership training arts and crafts
institute to start October 21 and
continue through October 31 is
small, it is announced by Bob
Bonney. city recreation director.
The registration fee for the course
is S6 plus the cost of material
used.
The institute, to be conducted
by Frank A. Staples, nationally
known arts and crafts instructor,
is open to all interested persons.
Mothers of children, from three
years of age up, may take advan
tage of a nursery to be conducted
at a cost of not more than SO
cents per session.
The institute will bo held in the
old armory building, entrance to
be at the rear door on Spring
Street.
Purpose of the institute is to
train youth leaders, den mothers.
Camp Fire Girl leaders, 4-H lead
ers. Girl Scout leaders, YMCA
leaders, hobbyists. -mothers wish
ing homecrafts for children, and
anyone interested in learning
crafts for themselves or as an
instructor.
Entry blanks are. available at
the parks and recreation office,
city hall, or information may be
obtained by calling TU 2-3863.
Registration should be made early
since classes are filling up.
