MR. AND MRS. ROBERT W. CLARK September bridal couple, wore married
September 18, in the LDS Temple at Logan, Utah. She is the former Sonya D. Baxter,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Baxter, 5650 Cottage, and her husband is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Clark, 5548 Harlan Drive. ;
Mr. and Mrs. Clark were official witnesses at the morning ceremony In the
Temple. He is bishop of the Klamath Falls LDS Church. After they registered at Brigham
Young University where Bob is a junior and Sonya is a sophomore, they came to Klam
ath Falls, where they were honored at a reception in the local LDS Church, attended by

Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Boudon
of McMinnville, Oregon, are the
parents of a son, weighing 8
pounds, 12 ounces, born October
2. The little boy has been named

CHILDREN HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IMPORTANT to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas during
the half-century of their married life. Many of the children now grown, remember the warm
hospitality of their home at 2105 Wantland Avenue.

Klamath Falls friend and neigh-
tor; Mrs. Dan Barry, Merrill;
and Mrs. Clarence Bailey, for
merly of Merrill, now living in
Klamath Falls. She and her hus
band, who celebrated their own
Golden Wedding Anniversary in
September, were Merrill farm
neighbors of the B o g u e s for
about 30 years.

topped with miniature wedding
bells. It was cut by Mrs. Wyatt
Padgett, Mrs. Howard Hanville
and Mrs. Neil F. Black. The three
also assisted at the punch bowl
and with other hostess duties.
Mrs. Boguo's sister, Mrs. Mary
Pierson, registered the guests.
Junior assistants were two sister
teams, Linda and Sally Hanville
and Jane and Kathy Black.
Also noted among the guests
was another anniversary couple,
Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Thom
as, who celebrated their 50th year
of marriage the Sunday before.
The Bogue residence was also
the setting for an anniversary din
ner that night after the reception.
Mrs. Van Wart and Mr. and
Mrs. Zammitt continued their
stay in Klamath Falls through the
week and plan a few more days of
family visiting before returning to
weir homes.
A beautifully arranged surprise
bridal shower honoring Charlotte
Roland, bride-elect of Gerald
Pierce, was given on September
27 in the Elks Party Room. Their
wedding will be an event of Oc
tober 19 in Sacred Heart Church.
Hostesses (or the evening, Mrs.
Willard Turner, Mrs. Richard
Young, Mrs. Tim Murphy, Mrs
Shirlee Strunk and Mrs. Eddy
Roufs, sent clever handmade in
vitations featuring the bride's
choice of crystal and china to 50
of her friends.
The party room was artistically
decorated with colorful fall flowers
by Mrs. Isabelle Brixner. Focal
point of the lace covered gift table
was a striking bell shaped arrange
ment of deep fuchsia-hued dahlias
with gold and brown autumn
leaves and encircled at the base
with fall flowers and flanked with
gold candles was center of attrac
tion on the tea table. The cake
was served by Mrs. C. S. Davis
of Tulelake. Mrs. Addie May Nix
on and Mrs. Isabelle Brixner pre
sided at the silver tea and coffee
services.
Highlights of the evening were
the opening of the many gifts and
two accordion solos played in hon
or of the honoree. Charlotte was
assisted with the gift unwrapping
by Mrs. Tim Murphy, and Anna
Marie Davis was the accordionist.
Mrs. Percy Pierce, mother of
the prospective bridegroom, was
the special guest at the party, and
also represented Mrs. Robert Ro
land, Charlotte's mother. Mrs. Ro
land, former Klamath Falls resi
dent is now living In Long Beach
and was unable to be here for the
occasion.
Th future Mrs. Pierce, a grad
uate of KUHS, Is presently em
ployed as assistant librarian at the
Klamath Falls City Library.
