Langell Valley is visiting friends
at Smith River. Waldport and Sa

lbs. 4 ozs. He has an older brother,
Bruce, and a sister. Marcia. Grand
parents are the Erwin Ritters of
Bonanza, his maternal grandmoth
er lives in Minnesota. He was born
on his mother's birthday.

The casualty list does not in
clude the missing 26 officers and
crew members from the Philip
pine freighter Lepus, which sank
Saturday about 450 miles north
east of the Philippines after being
buffeted by the typhoon.
The typhoon last was reported
in the South China Sea heading to
ward the China mainland.

Chrysler Corporation of Detroit,
Michigan, recently donated to Ore
gon Technical Institute one of their
technical school kits especially
prepared by them for use by in
structors in automotive curricula.
In the kit are service manuals for
ill of the cars and trucks maim-;
factured by the corporation, as
well as charts and other technical
literature including mechanic's
reference books and parts lists. J.
Schaupeter made the donation on
behalf of the corporation.
The kit is the second contribu
tion received by the institute from
Chrysler Corporation, the first be
ing an engine assembly recently
donated by Ballard and Bennett
Motors of Klamath Falls.
