THE KLAMATH COUNTY COMMUNITY PIE has been
marked for the United Fund percentage slices and it tells
the story of the need in dollars to finance the social
and welfare services which many of us will need and
benefit from before the year is ended.
Now is the time to prove that you have a heart of
gold by the generous flow of silver from it into the United
Fund coffers.
The Red Cross blood and plasma program under the
.Red .Feather alone should put your pledge from deep
within your heart instead of from your pocketbook. This
year, 1956, there have been over 1,000 pints of blood used
in Klamath County. That blood was your blood, given free
through the Red Cross. Commercial value over $28,000
community cost about $3,500.
The blood program is mentioned especially because
it so clearly exemplifies the community spirit of sharing
which prevails in all of the United Fund' services.
