The club voted to continue the
Conservation Essay contest of last
year. The subject Is Conserva
tion." and the contest Is open to
members of the sixth, seventh and
eighth grade pupils. Prizes will be
given by the club.
Mrs. Tessie Rush brought the
corsaKe, fashioned of three daffo
dils, yellow and brown ribbon and
tulle.
The Klamath District meeting
will be held on Saturday, April 28
in Klamath Falls. The next meet
ing of the Alturas Club will be
March 8 at the home of Mrs. John
Chase.
A delegation from the garden
club will be present at an assembly
of the Alturas Elementary School ;
for an Arbor Day program,. March
7. A short program will be giv
en and a tree planted In the school
yard.
