She was Shirley McCoy before their wedding which was a social event in Portland last,
summer. Since that time, the couple has liyed in Portland, where Don was with the Ben Franklin
Savings and Loan Association. . . : '
During the stopover they were house guests at the home of his - parents, Mr. and' Mrs.
George Mclntyre, 409 Lincoln Street.,
The picture was taken January 18, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel W. Raymond,
(Don's sister, Marian, and brother-in-law), 2052 Levey Street, where Marian and her mother
entertained that afternoon with a small tea for Shirley. ". '
A dinner party was also given for Don and Shirley by Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gass at their

MR. AND MRS. MAURICE DONALD AL PERT, cut the first slice of wedding cake at the
reception for 200 guests who witnessed the afternoon ceremony in Stony Point Presbyterian
Church, New'York. The bride is the former Barbara Jane Moser, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest H. Moser, were Klamath Falls residents when Barbara and her sister Janice were small.
Mrs. Moser is the former Edna Dunbar, daughter of the late R. H. Dunbar, who was a
prominent figure in local church, business, educational and social life. The picture was taken

RUBY GEHRING whose forthcoming marriage to Charles Thomas
(Tom) Schubert was recently announced in Eureka by tier parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Gehring, former Klamath Falls residents.
Sgt. Schubert, son of Mr.' and Mrs. John A. Schubert, 2527 Bisbee
Street, has just returned from. Okinawa, where he was on overseas duty for 17
months of his two years' service in the U.S. Army.
Ruby and Tom are both graduates of Klamath Union High School,
where she is remembered as a talented and popular young singer. Both have
a host of local friends and the wedding will take place in Klamath Falls at
the Klamath Lutheran Church, February 12.
She is presently employed by the Eureka firm, Harvey M. Harper Com
pany; and Tom, who went to OTI for two years, plans to attend Humboldt
State College, Areata, California.

Lt. AND MRS. WILBUR ELLIOTT (Catherine Blanas) with their two children, Mike and
Elaine posed for the above picture the day Lt. Elliott got his bars. He is stationed at Ft. Knox,
Kentucky, where he will have completed one and one-half years of service in the U.S.' Army
this summer.
He and Mrs. Elliott will return to the University of Washington for summer session
after which he plans to teach music (in a school); and she, to teach piano and voice at home.
The children!1 maternal and paternal grandparents live in Klamath Falls, Mr. and Mrs.
George Blanas, 1036 Eldorado; and Mr. and Mrs. W. Dexter Elliott, 1240 MonClaire.
WOMAN'S LIBRARY CLUB bridge-tea. set for February 25 at the Willard, received the
high-echelon treatment when the above group met for luncheon last week in the Paul
Bunyan room of the Willard hotel. The party, hid annually, benefits the Library Club tonsillec
tomy fund, by which the club provides needed tonsil operations for worthy children of the
Klamath basin.
