Lakeview The Lakeview Re-
bekah Lodge will meet on Thurs
day, January 26 at the IOOF Hall

' Macdoei Marc Olsen, 7-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Olsen
of Newell, is staying with his cous
ins. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Long
more, since being released from
Hillside Hospital in Klamath Falls
where he was treated for Brlght's
disease since before Christmas.
His parents visited him Sunday.
He expects to be in bed another
six weeks.

the polio fund. Parents are invited
to take children. Dinner will be
served for a reasonable charge.
Dancing will follow the dinner.
Alturas A potluck dinner for all
former Kansans will be held in the
all-purpose room of the Alturas
Elementary School' Saturday, Jan
uary 28 at 7 p.m. Those attending
are requested to bring their own
table service.
Breaks Wrist Clark Bray, Chllo
quln. broke his left wrist at a bas
ketball practice last week. He was
hospitalized for awhile but is now
home. Clark is a high school student.
Fort Klamath The C. I. Club is
sponsoring a public card party with
bridge, pinochle and other games,
prizes and refreshments, Saturday,
February 4, at the C. I. clubhouse.

a bill in Congress a few days ago
for revival ol the G.I. Bill of
Rights.
"I have always thought," he
said, "that the educational bene
fits of the C.I. Bill of Rights, under

schools and colleges, wa- the most
far-sighted veterans legislation we
have ever had.
Unfortunately," the senator con
tinued, "the G.I. Bill was per
mitted to expire for all men and

January 31, 1955. But the United
States needs skilled and educated
people more now than ever before.
We are falling behind the soviet
Union in training scientists and
engineers. It is my conviction that
