that panel boards be sanded and
laquered or varnished prior to
being installed in the wall of the
room. They should be cut to exact
size, finished and then installed.
By careful nailing or gluing, no
marks need by made on the finely
finished panels of Douglas fir or
west coast hemlock. Stroberger
says it is much easier to do the
sanding, buffing, rubbing and
spraying while the boards are on
bench or sawhorse.
