Klamath Falls, are being built by John Fowler and Fred Hoagland on Division Street a short dis
tance from Main Street. The first of the duplex units is shown here. The builders plan a group of
the new units on this tract. Each unit in the duplexes will have two bedrooms and will be
heated from a natural hot water well which has already been dug on the tract, announced

to give headroom for tall Items to
be stored on the original shelf,
but not so far as to cramp stor
age on the new shelf. Then cut a
pine board the width of the cabinet
and nail it down to the supports.
You'll be surprised how many
small glasses, cups, or small pan
try items this extra shelf will hold.

Dougas Fir Creates Fine
Background For Designers
Like the brush stroke of an art

derful texture; grain and coloring
of woods like Douglas fir, a vehicle
of incomparable beauty for the
modern designer. Elsie Doty Sopp,
A I D., says paneled walls of fir
offer striking background for color,
fabric and furnishings when creat
ing a home in the modern mood.
Mrs. Sopp, prominent West Coast
interior decorator, suggests Just one
of many decorating themes which
allies itself perfectly with paneling
of natural close-grained Douglas
fir:

tawny copper grain directly from
the paneling and makes it an es
sential part of upholstery color.
Along with a soft avacado green
and rich browns, the copper be
