VISITING HER. BROTHER AND HIS FAMILY Joan
Bartch, left, was her over, the New Year weekend from
Seattle, where she it a receptionist in a doctor's office. Next
to her is young George Walter Bartch, sitting by his mother.
At the right, George D. Bartch, next to his wife, Gloria, in

A' Bartch is with the Klamath County, Chamber of Com
mercewhere he !s manager of the traffic department. He
came here from Portland three years ago where he held a
similar position with the Dock Commission.
After the picture was taken, an unscheduled much-eerlier-than-planned
flight of the stork brought a new sister
to George Walter she was born at 8:17 a.m., January 3, at
Klamath Valley Hospital. The Bartch's had expected another
son in about two weeksso there was a slight delay in de
ciding on the new daughter's name Diane Elizabeth.

CONGRATULATIONS were extended by luncheon guests
at the Pelican Party Room, December 27, to Mary Ann Mun
son, bride-elect of Ken (Corky) Ellis after her mother, Mrs.
Sverre Munson, revealed the betrothal to her guests with the
names "Mary Ann" and "Corky" inscribed on each place card.
Mary Ann is a graduate of KUHS Class of '55; and Ken
was graduated from Malin High School in 1948. He served

for four years in the U.S. Navy. Both are students at Southern
Oregon College. She is a freshman in elementary education
and he is a senior in music education. A late summer wedding
is planned.

JUDGE AND MRS. DAVID R. VANDENBERG announce
the betrothal of their daughter Susan Patricia, to Phillip
Lynch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Con Lynch, Lakeview.
The news was previously revealed by Sue to school friends
at e traditional Marylhurst College engagement party given
Wednesday evening, January 4, in-Flavia Hall.
Susan is a senior music major at Marylhurst; and Phillip
is senior at the University of Oregon, where he is affiliated
with Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. No definite wedding data

nounce the engagement of their daughter, Sallie, to Richard
(Dick I Swans-n, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Swanson, 1940
Melrose.
Sallie will be graduated from St. Helen's Hall, Portland,
in June of this year and a June wedding is planned.
Dick is a junior at Oregon State College, affiliated with
