On Christmas morning, after the kids have opened all
their gifts. and while they are "quietly" playing with them,
I like to sit down over a cup of coffee and give the greet
ing cards we have received a good review. It seems that
there Just isn't time to look at more than the signitures
before Christmas. Here's what' just a few of them have to
say. .
From Charlie Mack and all the gang at KLAMATH FLOWER
SHOP, 1211 Main, comes this greeting: "A big bouquet of
Christmas Greetings to you. May your face be wreathed in
smiles on Christmas mora, and may you andyour femlly be
blessed with all good things, now and in the coming year.
It's signed by "all the staff at the KLAMATH FLOWER SHOP." '
Here's another greeting from ARBUCKLES MODEL SHOE
STORE (that's where Santa gets his boots). "Greetings....
Here's hopjlng that all the Joys of -this Holiday season "will
be yours in the fullest measure. . .and that the New Year will
be richly rewarding in warm friendships, good health and
happiness." It's signed by Orville Rehling and Mickey Hay
man at AREBUCKLE'S MODEL SHOE STORE, 717 Main.
1
The greeting from Pete Mead at MEAD'S-DRUGS, 530 Main,
has this message... "Our prescription to you is for a Yuletide
laden with a wealth of the good things in life. . May every
d8y be filled with the blessings of good health, happiness
and warm friendships." Of course Pete and all the staff at
MEAD'S DRUGS signed it.
Bob-Wilson and all the waitresses, bartenders, cooks and
dishwashers at the ELITE RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE wish everone
a Merry Christmas with this greeting. . ."May your holiday sea

May the happiness of the holidays be with you always." It's
signed by "all the staff at the ELITE RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE";
A cute' greeting comes from MONARCH TIRE SERVICE, INC,
315 South 6th. It shows Santa holding a General tire and
he says... "To all our friends we extend warm wishes for a
Holiday that ia full of love and joy. A Merry Christmas, to
all." It's signed by B. k. Teed, Everett "Asia" Minor, and
all the employees at MONARCH TIRE SERVICE, INC.
As for the Aliens, it's hard to put into words the
things we'd really like to say. It's wonderful the way the
people in Oregon have greeted us and welcomed us. To every
member of our newly-adopted community, we extend sincere
wishes for a happy, hearty Holiday Season.

Nimrods Tell
'Good Success'
Field surveys conducted by game
commission personnel during the
miming seasons Indicate that nim
rods enjoyed good success during
195S.
Spot checks of elk hunters show
that success was normal through
out the state, with excellent elk
hunting reported In some sections
of eastern Oregon. Deer hunters
loo experienced a good year with
normal or above normal success
indicated. The Tillamook burn area
was considered the hot spot for
western Oregon while excellent re
sults in eastern Oregon were re
ported in rhc Blue and Wallowa
mountains.
About the only hunting which
was not up to standard was dur
ing the pheasant season where
hunter surveys indicated that suc
cess on a state-wide basis was
below that of last year. This trend
was also Indicated during the mid
summer brood surveys when game
agents found that pheasant counts
were Below that of last year. How
ever, good hunting was experienced
In southwest Oregon and along the
north ceast where hunter success
was up over previous years.

the ambassadorial plane of the
regular U.N. Disarmament Com

at the summit, or at the foreign

all, depends on the outcome of Im
