California The Air Force has lifted its tem porary freeze on fiscal year 1856 active, duty tours nunioering 3331 for air reservists, it was announced today by Maj, Gen. Robert B. Landry, commander of Fourth. Air Force. i Fourth Air Force, with head quarters at Hamilton Air Force Base. California, is responsible for air reserve activities in the eight Western states of California, Ore gon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Arizona and Nevada. Last year a total of 2,616 Fourth AF olficcrs and airmen took ad vantage of their training eligibility for active duty tours. So far this year, 914 have already received such training, leaving a balance of 2.417 active duty tours still available to interested and eligible reservists. General Landry urged all Inter ested Air Force reservists to make Immediate application for their ac tive duty training through their nearest Air Keserve center.
