Girl Scouts Observe Founders Day.
OVER 100 LOCAL FRIENDS OF SCOUTING elld t th
R. P. Ellington reiidance, IS00 Pacific Terrace, during the tea
hourj, October 29, in obtervance of the birthday anniversary ot
Juliette Gordon Lowe, founder of Girl Scouts of United States
of America.
Character building, outdoor activities and interest in good
citizenship, were stressed in 1912 when the started the GSA
movement in Savannah. Georgia, as they are now. v
Mrs. Ellington, who opened her new home for the event,
is 2nd vice president of Region 1 1 Committee.
Representatives of Girl Scoutt, Camp Fire Girls and othor
local civic organiutiont were special guests in attendance.

Proceeds from the tea will be tent to the fund for restora
