The new pastor who has filled

The Rev. Overdorff is a grad
uate. of Duke University, Durham
South Carolina, and Western Theo
logical Seminary, Pittsburgh, Penn
sylvania. He has had wide expe
rience in ymca work as well

Mrs. Berryhill plays the organ

mony with her husband's mes
sages. She also conducts children's
services each Saturday morning
at 10 o'clock.
Church To Hear
Missouri Pastor
Klamath Basin churches of the
Assemblies of God will hold a
"Speed-the-Llght" Rally at the
Assembly of God In Klamath Falls,
Sth and Oak streets, Monday, No
vember 7, at 7:30 p.m. The Rev.
Thomas Zimmerman, national
youth director from Springfield,
Missouri, will be the speaker.
"Specd-the-Light" Is a national
endeavor on the part of the Christ's
Ambassadors to provide vehicles
of transportation such as, cars,
boats, bicycles for the 700 mission
aries on the foreign field. Already
thousands of dollars have been
used for such purposes.
The Rev. Zimmerman will bring
a message relative to the needs
that are facing the missionaries
on the field at this time. There
will be special music from several
I of the churches In this section.
The Rev. Wildon Colbaugh of Med
ford, will accompany the Rev.
Zimmerman on his Hindi a: y.
Pastor C. E. Lebeck Is speaking
Sunday morning on the message:
"A Broken Spirit." Mrs. Norma
Hess andMrs. Margaret Lebeck will
sing the duet: "Up Calvary's Hill."
Communion of the Lord's Supper
will be observed at the close of
the service.
Sunday evening's evangelistic
service begins nt 7:30 with "songs
you love to sing." The Women's
Trio will bring a special number
and there wil be music by the
choir nt both the morning and
evening services. Pastor Lebeck
has announced he will be speak
ing on the subject "The Danger
of Apo.stncy."
A cordial invitation is extended

the 60-vote Illinois delegation. He
sairl the delegation will be for Ei
senhower if he is a candidate but
otherwise will "look around. 'v
"We will have a united delega
tion in Illinois and will be watch
ing developments." he said.
On Ihe- Democratic side, Gov
Frank Lauschc of phlo said that if
he becomes a "favorite son" cand
idate it won't be with the idea of
preventing "Adlai E. Stevenson
from getting the party's nomina
tion. Lausche said he doesn't know
anything about and Isn't encourag
ing a wave of praise lor mm as n
possible Democratic presidential
nominee. The talk has come from
Southern Democratic governors
and senators, including some
avowed enemies of Stevenson.
"I may become a favorite son
to keep the Ohio delegation out oJ
the hands of the political bosses,"
Lausche said. "But I am not trying
to stop any candidate. I have the
highest regard for Adlai Steven
son as I have for other Demo
crats who have been mentioned
as possible nominees."
Lausche said that in alluding to
"political bosses" he wasn't shoot
ing at friends of Sen: Kefauver
(D-Tenn) who have said they will
enter the senator's name in the
May 8 Ohio primary. He said that
if he makes a favorite son race
and he Indicated he pronamy win
it will be to "keep the Ohio dele
gation in a position to make a
free choice at the convention next
year." . .
