eral government Wednesday had

mond Virginians of the Class AAA
International League and will sell
the club at public auction to satis
fy a $70,218.68 tax claim.
It was believed the first time
the government ever seized a
baseball club for back taxes.
An unidentified group of seven
members quickly indicated it plans
to bid for the club's purchase. E

cilman who acted as the group's
spokesman, said it would be "pre.

28-8 victory over Baylor last Sat
urday, has sped 851 yards from
scrimmage in seven games to
take a slim lead in the two de
partments according to figures re
leased today by the NCAA serv
