i TRASH CAN CONTAINERS will be required of all commercial and business establishments in
Klamath Falls that keep waste matter outside their buildings, according to city ordinance 4742
which became effective October 13. These containers, which should be painted green, are to
be of wood or metal construction, 50 inches long, 43 inches high and 29 inches wide. There
S must be a lid that opens upwards and two doors on the front that open out. The flooring shall
I be of boards with a minimum thickness of not less than one and five-eighths i n c h e t. These
boxes are designed to hold up to two 50 gallon containers and it is hosed they will prevent
the stread of rubbish and trash that blows away with the wind as well as serving to control
flies and other insects. Full information regarding these trash containers may be had by call-
ing the office of the police judge in the city hall. ' 1

The hall, a community project, was first started in 1946 and is
used by various clubs and civic groups for meetings and par
ties. The building was originally built by the work of the of
ficers and members of the association. All funds derived from
rentals go into the building fund.
