The 4-H Wool Show sponsored

stock Exposition and the Pacific
Wool Growers will be held at Port
land. October 15 through 22, 195).
Any Klamath County 4-H Club
member wishing to exhibit a fleece
should let Francis Skinner. 4-H
Club agent, know immediately. En
tries and fleeces are due in Port
land by October 1.
Fleeces must be from ewes
owned by the club member and
carried in his 4-H sheep project
Fleeces must have been shorn this
year and must not represent more
than one year's growth, excepting
yearling fleeces. Fleeces will re
main the property of the exhibi
tor. He may claim them at the
end of the show, or he may sell

PTA NEWS
ROOSEVELT
The first Roosevelt PTA meet
ing was held at 7:30. Tuesday,
September 20 in the school audi
torium. Four Boy Scouts presented the
colors Hnd led the pledge of al
legiance after which the meeting
was officinly opened by president
Adelle Erlandson. The minutes of
the previous meeting were read
and approved.
Boom count was won by Mrs.
Newton's second grade having 80
per cent and Mrs. Deller's fifth
Riade. having 64 per cent in at
tendance. Mrs. Joyce Ward read the budg
et lor the coming year which was
approved by all present.
President Adelle Erlandson in
troduced the new principal, Ger
ald. Clemens; who stated, "There
are 347 children enrolled in Roose
velt as of September 20. of which
60 are first graders. There is a
new room being added onto the
school which should be completed
by the first of next year."
Mr. Clemens then introduced the
terching staff which includes:
grade 1 Mrs. Voth and Mr3.
Hultman; Grade 2 Mrs. Harris
and Mrs. Newton: Grade 3 Mrs
Boyle, and Mrs. Lear; Grade 4
Miss Causey and Mrs. Scroggins.
Grade 5 Mrs. Deller and Mr.
Phelps; Grade 6 Miss Howell and
Mrs. Buck; Grade 7 Mrs. Kidd
and Mr. Foster.
Mrs Perkins is school librarian;
Mrs. Van Vector, voal music; Mr.
Stone, instrumental music, and
Mrs Jolley, strings.
Flowers were presented to the
faculty by the hospitality commit
tee. The American and International
Folk Dancing Club, headed by Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Mayhew did folk
dances of Sweden, Germany, Swlt.
zerland. Moravia, and Yugoslavia.
Everyone enjoyed the entertain
ment very much.
The meeting was adjourned with
room visitation being in order fol
lowed by a refreshment hour in
the cafeteria given by the seventh
grade mothers.
