Seated next to them, is Pamela Ann's Grandmother Karnes; and standing in back, the baby's mother, Mrs. Harold Metier, 2210 White Street. Mrs. Metier, Pamela Ann and Mrs. Vinton Karnes, 2081 Lalceshore Drive, were all back in Stanley for the reunion, and also to. celebrate Mrs. Emma Larson's 65th birthday anniversary. Mrs. Larson's home is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. j ; t I i . . ... . RUBY GARDNER bride-elect of Leslie Martin, whose engagement was announced recently in Grants Pass. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Porter J. Gardner, Grants Pass; and the prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Martin, Malin. She will teach a primary class in Grants Pass this school year. She and her fiance met at Southern Oregon College of Education, where the romance budded. He will continue his studies there this fall. No date has been set for the wedding. BROWN, 444 1 Freida Avenue, announce the forthcoming marriage of their only daughter, Betty Louise Brown, to Wayne J. Bruner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michaol G. Bruner, 2525 Eberlein Avenue. The wedding will take place at 4 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Octo ber I. Betty is an alumna of the University of Oregon and Reed College. She has been employed in Portland until recently. Her fiance is completing his studies at OTI, and plans on studying engineering at Oregon State College. LOUIS R. MANN PIANO CO. 120 No. 7th Mrs. Mark Hattan was honored guest at a stork shower, Wednes day evening, August 24, in the Pine Room of the Elk's Club. Host esses, Mrs. W. E. Carter and Mrs. Ben Stout, decorated the room with arrangements of purple stock and baby breath and featured a large stork as a useful bit oi decor to hold the honoree's corsage. A yellow and white basinette held the gifts. A competitive game was diver sion lor the evening before refresh mpnts were served. Guest list included Mrs. Al Hat tan, Mrs. Perry Babcock, Mrs. Les Urbach. Mrs. John Amuchastegul, v. V JOHN P. WIRTH, 3022 Butte Street, center, front row, wiih his children who were with him during the last week in August. Son William W. (Billiel, and his wife and children were here from Spanaway, Washington, where he is with the Washington Cooperative Company. Daughter, Goldie, (Mrs. Arie Pyn,) right, front r ow, is from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where her husband is one of the oldest employes of John Morrell and Company, meat packing firm. Standing, left, is daughter Sylvia I Mrs. Oliver Burt), who lives here in the Stewart Addi tion. Her husband farms their acreage and also works for Kesferson Lumber Company. Carrie, next to her, is Mrs. Ray Foster. She and her husband have extensive sheep and cattle ranching interests with headquarters at Alzada, Montana. John.Wirth, a widower, has lived in Klamath Falls for about 14 years. He is now semi retired and occupies himself with his local property interests. Nine grandchildren were also present at the family get-together. Daughter Minnie (Mrs. Delmer) Fowlks and her husband, a shovel operator on road building projects in Casper, Wyo ming, were unable to make the trip at this time. There were six children in the family, includ ing another son, the late Carl Wirth, of Acme, Wyoming.
