THURSHAY, SEPTEMBER 8. 1955 HERALD AND NEWS. KLAMATH FALLS. OREGON Be A Good Loser Parties and summer picnics are fun and lucky are the gals who can nibble all the wonderful rich and fattening snacks and eat the gorgeous meala without adding a pound. For those who are not so for tunate in keeping to the size pre scribed v by their current ward robes, Helena Rubinstein has come up with four different plans for weight-watching and weight-reducing. Her line is handled in Klam ath Falls. She advises: "Resist procrastt nation in the Interest of pulchri tude. Be a good loser. Begin now to trim your figure for whatever alphabetical line fashion takes this fall be It the H-line, the A-line or almost anything except the highly improbable O-Iine." Here's what it is all about: Helena Rubinstein, world - re nowned authority on the health and beauty of women, presents now a reducing plan formulated by the distinguished doctors on her staff. It takes all the aspects of losing weight into account, in cluding your natural reluctance. Patterned after the methods used in her salons, this plan considers the psychology of the dieting .wom an and the temptations facing her. the relaxed contours, the neces sity of balanced nutrition and mod. erate exercise to maintain ener gy and bodily elasticity as well as her weicht problems. Vital to this new plan are unique little tablets called "Reduce-Aid." Taken from fifteen minutes to half an hour before each meal, these tablets lessen the appetite through the action of the exclusive ingre dient, "Appe-Curb." thus discour aging over-eating. They contain no "filler," and no laxative. But they do much more than merely "curb the appetite. "Reduce-Aid" tablets, pleasantly mint flavored, are not a medication but they are vitamin, protein and min eral supplements and therefore, a food. Yet they are so low cal orically that you may eat as many as you want through the day. A minimum of four to six "Reduce-Aid" tablets per day are rec ommended one before each meal, and one between meals when the desire to nibble overtakes you. Just four of them supply your daily requirements of Vitamins Bl, B2. C and D, and Niacinamide, as well as 15 per cent of your Calcium needs and 8 per cent of the encessary phosphorus. All these healthful components, in ad dition to others, are in a non-fat dry milk base, so that each tablet contains less than two calories. Madame Rubinstein's reducing plan Is just that a comprehen sive method of weight reduction; so there is a good deal more to It than the tablets alone. Working with prominent physicians and nu tritional experts, she has pre pared four original new diets based on the use of 'the tablets. A Diet Book, covering all four diets plus suggested exercises to . tone Xlaxed muscles, is included free of charge with each purchase of "Reduce-Aid." The diets all with calories conveniently counted for you take into consideration the various modes of living of women who wish to diet. There is one for the : professional or business woman ' who may attend a VIP luncheon one day and eat at a drug store counter the next. Another is for the busy mother showing her how to diet while cooking for the family, without having to prepare special foods for herself. A third is for the woman who does not care to bother with complicated menu planning and wishes to avoid the anti-social aspects of dieting: and the fourth listing permis sable and non-permissiable food groups for weight loss Is for those who don't want to stick to a formal diet at all. These diets are scientifically planned to build energy and en courage life-long good eating hao its as they help you to lose weight. In the Diet Book are suggestions to help you maintain ideal weight when the dieting period is over. With a loss of weight, the skin in certain areas of the body often becomes slack and prone to wrink les and stretch marks. To avoid this unflattering result, and to counteract it if it's already a fact, Madame Rubinstein has created a luxurious liquid - cream called "Body Firm." Used as a daily massage treatment on thighs, up per arms on any part of-the body in need of firming, this pink, ex quisitely scented cream exerts an effective tightening influence on the skin. Thus your contours In these areas proclaim ' the truth about your newly slimmed figure. Instead of hiding it under a hag gard appearance. Like "Reduce Aid" tablets and many other Hel ena Rubinstein preparation, "Body Firm" has benefits in addition to the one for which it was created It contains soothing oils to soften and smooth dry skin, and also special sea extracts which give the cool and Invigorating effects ef sea bathing. A booklet describ ing and illustrating the correct Sa lon Method of applying this tonic cream so good for all women in addition to dieters romes with each bottle of '.'Body Firm." It shows you how to massage the cream gently into the needful areas. PAGE TWENTY-FIVE .
