THIS NEW 1955 INTERNATIONAL two-ton truck will be uicd jointly by the park and city
recreation staffs. If was purchased on bid from Juekeland Truck Sales and Service for ap
proximately $4400. It is equipped with a 120 loof flatbed, winch and hoist. Delivery was
made this week. Above (I to rl are Bob Bonney, city recreation director, Berf Stott, super
intendent of Moore Park and H. O, Juckeland.
"PIGS IN A CORNFIELD" could be the nam for this blue
ribbon arrangement entered by Mrs. J. R. Miller, who also won
the -sweepstakes on arrangements award offered by Mrs.
G. A. Krause, Klamath Falls, who taught classes in arrange
ments prior to the Five Club Flower Show here on August 10.
The "porkers" were made of Klamath Basin potatoes. The ar
rangement being admired by Mrs. Hugh O'Connor, general
chairman of the successful show, was entered in the "Potato
Empire" division of the show.

by Sloan Wilson.
Tills book is the story of Tom
Rath trying to make himself lit
into the civilian world afler a
time In the Army. Some unusual
things happened to Tom. As a
paratrooper he killed seventeen
men, and had met a girl In Rome
who meant great deal to Win. It
was hard to adjust his lire, and Ihe
author says there are hundreds
