there are many standards that

Child Care and Guidance," they

Safe? Indoors and out?
Are toilet facilities and washing

Is the whole place cheerful, light
and well-ventilated?
There should be a nurse to look
at the children each morning and
to stand by for first aid.
If there are lunches offered, are
they simple, hot and nutritionally
well-balanced?
Is there space for napping for a
full-day school?
The Child Welfare League ot
America recommends one full-time
teacher and one full-time assistant
for each 12 to 15 children between
three and four, and for each IS to
20 between four and five.

Parents Must Share Job With Teachers
According to leading educators,
school can do only a half-way Job
of educating American children if
they come home to a family that

It's got to be helped by enlight
