lines and roads. All this has been
heavy drain on the treasury and
on foreign earnings nnd credits.
Boy Injured In
Bike Accident
Charles Nida, 12-year-old son of
Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Nida of the
Stewart Lennox Addition is still In
a serious condition at Klamath
Valley Hospital following a bike
automobile collision August 5.
Tile boy met a car driven by
Everett Randolph Jr., 19-years-old
at the Intersection of Douglas and
Granite streets about 3 p.m. and
was thrown violently to the pave
ment. He suffered multiple head
injuries and hns not regained con
sciousness. The accident occured
half a block from his home.
Slate police Investigated the ac
cident. No charge was filed against
Randolph.

Fire Department arson squad to
day Investigated a two alarm fire
that damaged the roof of the Swilt
Co. warehouse here last night,
the second blaze within 24 hours
In Butchortown.
The fire was brought under con
trol In 15 minutes by more than
100 fire fighters. A fire at the H,
Moflat Co. moat plant yesterday
resulted In Injury to five firemen
and do, 000 damage.
