Fishing Rules
Hearing Held
Proposed regulations for com
mercial fishing in the Colununa
River for 1959 will be discussed at
two public meetings on December
8-9, one at Astoria and the other
at Vancouver.
M. T. Hoy, state fisheries di
rector, stated this week that the
first preliminary regulations hear
ing will be held at 1:30 p.m. in
Uie Labor temple at Astoria on De
cember 8. The second hearing will
take place the following night. De
cember B. in the Evergreen Hotel,
Vancouver, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
All interested persons are invited
to attend and express views on the
