Oregon Weed Conference heard a
plea Tuesday for additional funds
for research and control measures.
President Allen C. Tom of Rufus
voiced the plea at the opening ses
sion of the conference.
Rex Warren of the Oregon State
College staff said that many of the
troublesome weeds including tan-t-y
ragwort. Canada thistle,, rag
weed and sage are on rangelands.
Control measures for such lands
are costly, he said.
