Three Injured
In Car Crash
MAU1K Three men, traveling in
two automobiles were injured about
five o'clock last night in a collision
that sent all three to Klamath Val
ley Hospital, None was seriously
injured.
James Hiclft, Hatfield, and a pas
senger, Uoyd Barkemeycr. both
employed by the Loveness Lumber
Company, Malin, were traveling
west on the state line road. A
pickup truck driven by Stanford
Johnson, Langeli Valley, apparent
ly pulled from a side road in front
of the Hicks car. Both cars were
badly damaged
The accident happened at the
Tony Victorine corner.
The injured were brought to the
hospital by the Tulelake ambulance
and Kaler's ambulance.

Meeting Held
MACDOEL The Butte Valley
Soil Conservation District was host
at a meeting of the state conser
vation commission at the Butte
Valley district office Saturday,
September SS.
This was a regular meeting of
the commission. Business trans
acted included discussion of the
small water shed protection and
flood prevention act and approval
of inclusion of areas outside of dis
tricts in certain parts of California
where requests have been made to
become part of an operating district.
