Enterprises, a Sacramento outfit. The well, put down by Pat McGinley, boasts an 18 inch
pips and a flow of some 5000 gallons per minute. This is ust one of a number of wells that
have' been put down in that area. "Dryhole" McGinley is at present in San Francisco taking in
the world series on TV.

first meeting of the school year
Wednesday, September 22 in the
school auditorium.
Verne Spelrs, principal, Intro
duced the faculty following the
flag salute led by Cub Scouts of
Den 1 Pack 4.
New teachers are Ann McLaugh
lin, and Mrs. Oleta Johnson, first
grade; Mrs. Prlcilla Russell, sec
ond; Mrs. Helen Tanner, third;
Mrs. ftcva Snell and Mrs. Ann
Wilson, fourth. Mrs. Isabel Jack
son has been moved from the
fourth to the sixth grade. James
Palmer fills the coaching position
and teaches seventh grade re
placing Cnl Bonney. Rosalyn Rand
is the new music director.
Spiers spoke to the parents on
school policies and gave an out
line of a day's activities. Mrs.
Virginia Dixon spoke on the ur
gent need for blood donors.

Rent New Mule

a common mule for its mascot. An
officer was sent from headquarters
at west Point. His objective: to
