Oregon I00F Meet To Be Held In KF
On Saturday, August 28, Ewauna
Encampment No. 46 and Ewauna
Auxiliary No. 46 IOOF will be
hosts to the third annual state
wide patriarchal rendezvous at
Klamath Falls. Patriarchs and
their ladies from all over the state
of Oregon will attend this meet
ing. This annual event is being
called the grand patriarch's patri
archal rendezvous, in honor of Ore
gon;' grand patriarch, Herbert M.
Munsell.
A degree team from Willamette
No. 2. Salem, will confer the gold
en rule degee during the after
noon session, and a team from
Ridgely No. 23 of Silverton will
confer the royal purple degree
during the afternoon session, and
a team from Ridgely No. 23 of

sion. Grand Encampment officers ex
pected to attend this rendezvous

Plane Tested
BURBANK, Calif, tfi The Lock
heed YC130, first turboprop power
cargo plane built for the Air Force,
is at Edwards Air Force Base
for extensive flight tests.
The four-engine ship was test
flown there yesterday, a distance
of 60 air miles. '
The craft has a wingspread of
132 feet, double wheels on the nose
gear and double landing gear
wheels in tandem which retract
Into the fuselage. It can be loaded
Jrom the rear of the fuselage.
Designed for logistics support,
assault missions and air evacua
tion duties, it has T56 Allison en
gines capable of lifting it quickly.
The plane was airborne yesterday
after traveling one-third of the run
way, engineers said.

Sunday morning all of the grand
encampment, grand lodge, Rebek
ah Assembly officers together with
a large number of patriarchs and
their ladies will make a trek to
Jacksonville where the grand of
ficers will dedicate the estaablish
ment of an ancient and historical
lodge, known as Jacksonville
lodge No. 10. with a suitable
plaque being placed on the comer
stone of the Jacksonville lodge
hall.
This hall over 90 years old,
is the only original building still in
use by an Odd Fellcvs Lodge.
Ancient and Historical regalia,
and other artifacts of Odd Fellow
ship and its establishment In the
Oregon Territory will be placed at
this site for safe keeping and per
petuation of some of the early his
tory of the fraternity.

hone-act comedies Saturday night

cludes two of the original Tum
bleweed players. Gerry Calloway
of Eaglevllle will play the lead
as Libby Todd; Jack Grove, a
colored chauffer named Archi
bald; Dee Dollarhide as Dellah,
'the maid; Jerry Grove, an Eng.
lish poet named Kllsburry Twigg;
and Stephen Hunt, a western
rancher will be filled by Gerry
Lawson. Makeup artist will be
