WITH CONSTRUCTION ABOUT COMPLETED on this $350,000 grain elevator, the Winema
Elevator Company, Tulelake, expects to have machinery installed and in operation by harvest
time which should start in about a month. The elevators, located at Stronghold, replace the
wooden structure burned to the ground last fall. The new structure will store 320,000 bushels
of grain.
Early Hotel Name Changed
The name ot the Early Hotel,
US N. Stb Street, Klamath Falls
landmark, on the second floor of
the Collins building is being
changed to the Fugate Hotel. The
24-room hotel Is above LaPointe's.
It' was owned for many years by
the late Joseph Early - and Mrs.
Early.
Owners since Inst September
have been the late Jack Fugate
and Mrs. Fugate, who decided this
week to rename the business In
memory of Mr. Fugate.
The neon sign with the name
change is being put up this week.
A complete redecorating Job in
all the rooms and the lobby is
being completed.
A penthouse and three room
apartment tops the building,
