Headman Joe Fales, in announc
ing his criminal intentions, said
the big price-slashing event will
run for a week. He gave this reai
son for keeping special prices in
effect from Thursday thru Wednes
day. "By extending the time lim
its of the sale thru next Wednes
day, we hope to let all the shop
pers In the area reap th,e benefits
from the lowered prices, regard
less of where they are in the
habit of shopping."

Ruthless Slayer Confesses Guilty
Victims Are Identified
Morgan Johnson, manager of the meat department at
Oregon Food Stores, has admitted that he played a vital
part in the planning of the price murder now under way
at Oregon Food. In a signed statement handed to news
men early this morning, Morgan confessed his part in the
crime and explained the reasons for his conduct.
His victims were neatly laid out in the handy self
service meat counter and they were identified as follows:
