COFFEE ANGEL TORTE is an angelic way to use one of the fine new angel food mixes on the
market today. Instead of being baked in the usual pan, however, it is baked in four layer
cake pans so that you have four fairly thin layers. The magic filling and topping uses coffee
and chocolate for flavoring. The whole effect is not too sweet; rich, but not heavy. Serve with
iced coffee and don't forget that simple syrup made of sugar and water is the most efficient
sweetener for iced coffee. Photo is from Pan-American Coffee Bureau.

EATING SHOULD
BE A JOY -
The food you set before your
family should look and taste good.
Lumpy mashed potatoes, scorched
cereal, watery warmed-over vege
tables, dried up meat or fish can
not be consumed with any enthusi
asm. This Is particularly true of the
tiny tot In the family whose ap
petite Is apt to be finicky during
hot weather.
Eating should be one of the Joys
of life from infancy on.. Sometimes
life gets so mixed up for a little
child that he gets more pleasure
out of the fuss the grownups make
about his not eating than be does
out of the eating itself.
Check your own actions at meal
time. Sec to It that you do not make
him the center of all attention be
cause he does not eat. A child
bates to give up that desirable po
sition in the limelight, so be casual,
even indifferent, if you can bring
yourself to it, about the eating.
Get out your portable electric
