To Hold Meeting
A meeting of the Joint potato ad
vertising committee for Klamath-Tulelake-Central
Oregon has been
scheduled by Chairman H. W.
Steelhammer for 1:30 p.m. Wednes
day June 23 at the office of Ross
Aubrey, 2237 South Sixth Street.
. It is probable that a decision will
be reached as to whether adverti
sing undertaken for Klamath Ba
sin potatoes will include Central
Oregon potatoes also.
A proposal made earlier in the
year suggested a combined promo
tion under the name Klamath-Deschutes
Russets. More recently
trower opinion seems to favor a
separate promotion for Klamath
Basin potatoes.
Separate promotion for Klam
sths Is reported to be favored by
some Bay area wholesalers who
have been handling the crop.
Promotion proposals are to be
outlined at the meeting by Milt
Poland n Pacific National Adver
tising Agency, which has been re
tained to survey market outlets
and suggest approaches to the ad
vertising problem.
