In .Socred Heart Catholic Church, Satur
day morning, June 12, Kathleen O'Connor;
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Denis O'Con
nor, 133 Grant, and John Moran, San Fran
cisco, were united in the sacrament' of holy
matrimony. t .
The bride's parents invited approximately
500 guests to offer the Moss with them. " ' .
Celebrant for the Solemn High Nuptial
Moss was the Rev. Father Aloysius O'Connor,
O.D.C. (Order Discalced Carmelites), a cousin
of the bride, from Alhombra, California. Dea
con was the Very Rev. Father T. P.' Casey, pas
tor of the bride's parish. The Very Rev. Father
John Phelan, pastor of St. Augustine's parish,!
Merrill, was sub-deacon; and the Rev. Father
Patrick Meskill served as master of ceremonies; '
Catholic nuptials are distinguished in the
church as one of the two occasions when a
priest may interrupt the canon of the Mass to '
impart special blessings on the bride. The other
occasion is in the ordination of a priest. . t
