momberi. A target representing a wrecked plane was sot out on Sun Mountain, and tht search
was started at 7"i3 0 a.m. The ground search party was formed by IS cadets tnd three seniors,
guided to the wreck by tha CAP Liaison plane, piloted by Lf. Everett Peery and Sgt. Art
Welch. John Wilton was observer and photographer. The wreck was found at 1 1:15 a.m.
about four miles from where the search started. Tht practice search was followed by t picnic
