Coker's father ordered Edgecombe
to leave the farm. Edgecombe
prospered in New Zealand. Miss
Coker went to Philadelphia. .
Edgecombe, whose first wife
died in 1932, learned Miss Coker's
address last January and proposed
after a short exchange of letters.
They met here for the first time
