Fourteen members of the Eu
gene Natural History Society spent
last Saturday and Sunday In the
Klamath Basin studying the bird
life of the region. The four car
loads of enthusiastic bird-watchers
from Eugene were under the lead
ership of Ben H. Prultl. former
tesldent of Klamath Falls.
The Natural History Society
members camped Friday evening
in the Tulelake refuge and were
given a resume of the bird life
of the National Wlldlile Refuges
by Tom Horn, refuge manager.
Saturday the bird group was
conducted on a tour of the Tule
lake refuge under the leadership
of members of the Nsture Society
of the, Klamath Region who were
able to show the visitors more
than 10 species of birds In the
six hour tour. of the srea.
