Polio Tests

The nation-wide test of Balk
polio vaccine got underway In Ore
gon Tuesday as second graders In
Lane, Marlon and Multnomah
counties received Uie first of a
series of three Injections.
Parental permission Is required
for children talcing part In the
tests.
On Monday a number of first.
second and "lira graders were
given tests to determine whether
antibodies of' Uie three best-known
of strains of polio were present In,
their blood.
This will provide a statistical
comparison for tests of the blood
of the children who have received
the anti-pollo Injections.
