1958.
Eight firms offered sealed bids
before the sale. Then the bidding
started' and lasted two' hours.
Final figures In the Rayonier
offer were $14 a thousand for 760,
000 board feet of cedar. $29 for
240,000 feet of Douglas fir, tli.',0
for 200,000 feet of spruce and S16
for 18.600,000 feet of hemlock and
other species. -
In addition, the firm will pay
planting and slash disposal depos
its totaling 80 cents a thousand. . .
