At, Monday night's meeting, each
councilman and the mayor, V. Ed
win Johnson, supported that view.
In an editorial prepared for
Tuesday's Register - Guard, Tug
man reviewed the matter and said,
"Our point has been simply that
public matters should always be
discussed publicly and in public
places."

Purchase Told
PORTLAND Wl Rep. A. R.
Bush (R-Pal has purchased a US
head herd of Guernsey cattle from
an Oregon breeder, it was dis
closed here Monday.
A. C. Bush, son of the congress
man, negotiated the purchase from
M. C. Flemlpg of Troutdale. Neith
er party reported the price. How
ever, a somewhat similar 130-head
herd sold for S503.0O0 in New York
last year. (

ing's Ivy Oaks Belle's Jingle,
which holds the world record for
producing more than 1,000 pounds
of butterlat in each of four suc
cessive years.
The cattle will be loaded into
seven railroad cars Saturday for
shipment to Bush's farm at Muncy,
Pa. Bush, now serving his second
term in Congress, is a transit com
pany operator.
