gree heat yesterday, the bench at
Bears, Roebuck Si Co. must have
looked mighty inviting to 72-year
old Mrs. Serama Crazi.
But before she realized the
bench was on display behind the
store window, Mrs. Crazi crashed
through the 11x11 foot pane.
She was treated for a cut head
and hand by a doctor.' The store
window was demolished.

had to rescue two sailors adrllt in
a small boat yesterday because the
Navy was caught without a boat.

stock American cars in certified test
In the greatest road test of performance and mileage characteristics of
American stock cars, 20 automobiles vied for Sweepstakes and price
class honors in -the 1954 Mobilgas Economy Run. These cars were
protected with new Mobiloil Special and used a completely new
gasoline-which is soon to be announced to the public.
Under supervision of the American
Automobile Association, the 20 cars
started the 1335-mile, maximum legal
speed course from Los Angeles up into
Yosemite National Park, and on to San
Francisco. The second day, drivers
pushed up the snow-packed Sierras,
over 7135-foot Donner Summit, across
Nevada to Elko. Wednesday, the cars
finished the last leg into Sun Valley.
Temperature ranged from desert heat
to nea freezing; cars went from sea
level to 7135 feet, with widely varying
humidity conditions that tested both en
gine and new gasoline performance.
