C.8.B., ot Detroit, Mtcbl' trail, a member ot the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. He will speak on the subject, "Christian Science: How Scientt Grain Loans Farmers are reminded, that to be in a position to obtain price support on their 1954 grain crops, they must be able, either to pre. sent to the county office a nego tiable warehouse receipt on the commodity, or to satisfy the coun ty committee that It is stored on the farm in an eligible storage structure, states County Exten sion Agent C. A. Henderson. Eligible farm storage Is storage ' that Is safe for the commodity - as determined by the county com mittee. Barns, sheds, etc., can be converted into safe farm storage. Loans are available to eligible borrowers lor new farm construc tion who can comply with the fol lowing requirements: 1. An eligible borrower Is any producer; either tenant, landlord or owner . operator, who pro duces, wheat, barley, oats, rye or cover crop seed. 2. Ellgifile structures are those meeting the lequlrements for eli gible storage under the CCC price support programs. 3. Repayment: To be repaid In four equal Installments beginning one year after loan is disbursed. Extension provided In case of crop' failure. Interest Is four per cent. 4. Amount of loan: 45 cents per bushel capacity or 80 per cent of the cost of construction, which ever Is the least. 6, Applications for this loan to be made at the county ASC of fice before June 30, 1954. . The full cost of new grain stor age can be deducted from Federal Income Tax over a five-year per- 10a. Tne amortization provision also applies to alteration or re modeling of a grain storage struc ture that increases the capacity of the structure for grain storage. He entered the legal profession In Detroit, event ually becoming the senior member of a firm engaged largely in the practice of corporation law. Alter an extensive Investigation of various religions and philoso phies, according to Dr. Carey, he became convinced that Christian Science Is the most effective heal ing method. While traveling In different countries. Dr. Carey realized what he terms a "world-wide need for what Christian Science offers," and, aecraing ne coma oe ot greater ser vice in the practice . of Christian Science, he retired from his law practice. In 1931 he became an authorized teacher of Christian Science, Since 1940 he has lectured Christian Science In many coun tries, from Alaska to Argentina, from Europe to South Africa. Church To Hear Singing Group The Weatherford Stamps Quar tet of Los Angeles, California, will be featured at the Church of the Nazarene, corner Garden and Mar tin Streets, Thursday evening, March 25, at 7:30 p.m. me weatneriords arc radio ana recording artists who sing not only old hymns but the latest religious songs as well. Next Thursday they will present a full evening of har monies of their own selection, and will sing request numbers. The quartet and the accompanist have traveled widely over the Uni ted States presenting one-night pro grams and conducting evangelis tic programs of longer duration. Farm Loan Group Picks Directors Three directors to serve for three-year terms were elected at the recent annual meeting of the Klamath-Lake National Farm Loan Association. W. Warren Maxwell of Lakevlew was reelected. Roy Gooding of the Gooding Poultry Farm, was reg ularly elected after serving by ap pointment the unexpired term of Judge V. E. Keeaer, reiirea, ana Bryant Williams of Spring Laxe Road was elected to succeed Fred L. Pope of Fort Klamath. The directors elected L. J. Hor- ton of Klamath Falls to the office of president for 1954. Serving with him will be Vancil A. Withers, Paisley, vice president, and H. E. Hamuker, Klamath Falls, secretary-treasurer. More than 100 members and guests attended the meeting. Gun, Fish Reel Sale Planned SACRAMENTO. March 22 Di rector Seth Gordon of the Califor nia Department of Fish and Game today announced that more than 60 firearms and a dozen rods and reels confiscated from law-break- Ine hunters and fishermen will be auctioned off March 26 at the De partment's Redding office. The equipment was seized and turned over to the agency by judges assessing fish and game law violators. Prospective bidders will be able to inspect the weapons and gear at 627 Cypress Street, Redding, from 10 A.M. to noon, and from P.M. to 4 P.M., March 24 and March 25. The auction will start at 10 A.M., Friday, March 26. Inventory sheets describing the rifles, shotguns, rods and reels are available at the Cypress Street address.
