it felt to be doing a picture away
from 20th century-Fox for the first
time in it years.
"Once you're inside the stage,
theres not much difference, she
observed. "The four walls look the
same no matter what studio it is.
Things are much the same, since
she has her same veteran "wreck

didn't want to do the picture. After
I left Fox. they came to me again
and I said I wanted things I didn't
think they would give me. They
surprised me and came through
with everything I wanted, includ
ing Cinemascope, so I had to give
in."
She talked about her last two
pictures at Fox. which were "How
to Marry a Millionaire" and "Tbe

a picture? It was all about hauling
turnips or something on a canal
barge. Who cares?

that picture. I had been on sus
pension for a year and told them I
was ready to come back to work.
They didn't have a thing ready for

script, which waa originally

eery store last night, pulled a gun
land announced: "This Is a hold

Mrs. King grabbed for his gun
and the man fired twice, missing
both times.
