To Attend Meet
A large delegation of certified
seed potato growers from the Tule
lake Grower's Association as well
as individual growers will attend a
seed potato certification hearing to

The group plans to inspect test

by a one day tour of markets in
Sacramento led by Gene Stro

Yellow Jaundice
Cases In Basin
There have been many cases of
yellow jaundice reported recently,
particularly in the Chllsculn area.
This disease is also called infectious
hepatitis. It usually takes about
two to five weeks to come down
with the disease after being ex
posed. - . .
When one is coming down with it.
they usually show symptoms of
nausea ana vomiting. lever, weak
ness, loss of appetite and' pain in
the right side. Jaundice is not
usually present at first. Since these
symptoms are like many other ill
nesses. It Is hard to diagnose.
Not much is known about its
spread, but it is thought to be
spread to other through body dis-
cnarges, cnieiiy tne leces of a per
son who has the disease. It mav
also be spread through water, milk,
food that has been contami
nated; Food handlers have to be
especially careiui.
In the care of someone with' in-
teetlous hepatitis, the Tiatient
should be Isolated from the rest of

Transfer of the property was re
quested by the' national guard dor
use as 'armories, classrooms, of
fice space and parking area for
Batteries B and, D of the 732nd
AAA Battalion and members of
the battalion staff stationed in
Klamath Falls. Present faculties, a
building and part of a hangar
rented from the city of Klamath
Falls, are not adequate for the
needs of the national guard, ac
cordins to Congressman Coon.
The property is located at the
southeast corner 01 the intersec
tion of the county road (Joe Wright
Road) and Yorktown Avenue at the
Airport. The buildings were con'
