the 1953 annual report.
The report also shows a total of
I.0S1 beef killed, 3,071 hogs, 554
sheep and 1,605 veal butchered.
Total milk gallonage for the yeirr
was 1,151,507 and 13,134 gallons of
cream produced.

William Swindells, well known
lumber executive and a resident of
Portland for many years, wjs
elected to the board of directors of
the First National Bank of Portland
at the annual meeting of stock
holders January 20, it was an
nounced by C. B. Stephenson, presi
dent of the statewide banking sys
tem. . -
His election followed a decision by
the share holders to increase the
total number of directors compris
ing the board by an additional man,
making 34 members. All outer di
rectors were re-elected, Stephenson
said.
A native of Baltimore, Swindells
graduated from LeHigh University
