All-star Shrine benefit football
game between seniors from upstate

schools.
Thirty-two schools are repre
sented by the two.27-man teams.
Harry Scarft of Central Catholic
will coach the Portland team and
Mcl Ingram of Grants Pass, the
upstate players.
The game has been tentatively
set for Aug. 21 at Multnomah Stad

veteran trouper on golf's tourna
ment trail, was $2,000 richer Mon
day and the champion of the 1954
Blng Crosby 54 holer.
The old Arkansas Traveler of the
fairways fronted his fellow pro
fessionals in the windup of the
famed spar-with-par event with a
three day total of 210. Harrison
posted 71-68 71 respectively on
three courses, Cypress Point, Mon
terey peninsula and Pebble
Beach.
Jimmy Demaret, veteran from
Houston, shot 73-68-70 for 211 and
$1250.
Third place and 810OO went to
Tommy Bolt of Houston with
71-70212.
The pro amateur competition
ended in a four-team tie with best
ball totals of 193.
